Academic research conducted
He is working on the different 3D printing technologies (laser and electron beam melting, stereolithography, fused deposition modeling) and investigation of relationships between processing parameters, materials properties, and microstructure. Design and fabrication by 3D printing techniques cellular solids with porosity supporting cell adhesion and proliferation and Young Modulus matching that of human bone. Development of chemical post-processing treatments for additive manufactured titanium and nickel-based alloys improving surface properties - decreasing surface macro-roughness and internal stresses.
