Responsible mainly for research on temperament and psychophysiology. He also conducts experimental research in the field of EEG and deals with the interpretation and theoretical justification of the results obtained in relation to personality, narcissism (and other psychological variables).
Academic research conducted
The conducted research concerns mainly relations between psychological variables in relation to biological variables. For this purpose, the author has developed a proprietary formula for measuring the nervous system characteristics with the help of EEG, which earlier researchers called "Nervous system responsiveness", this feature is relatively constant over time. The studies have shown that the index predicts the level of anxiety very well, emotional style of coping with stress and neuroticism. Currently, the main topic of research will be to discover the biological basis behind narcissism. To this end, pilot studies have been carried out, which confirmed the relationship between the BIS and BAS systems, which according to Gray's theory are directly related to the reactivity of the nervous system and the level of cortical arousal. In order to experimentally confirm this relationship, experimental research is mainly conducted using EEG.

- Research on demanding attitude and narcissism. Both phenomena are of key importance in in the supervisor-subordinate relationships, the attitude to the organization, and involvement in desired and harmful activities in the workplace (e.g. Demanding pay for the work done, coping with conflicts from work). The results of our studies are especially useful in the work with international teams.

Qualitative research is directed at the study of personality determinants of efficiency of work, satisfaction with the organization, interpersonal relations in the workplace. - Research on the sensitivity on stimuli (stress, anxiety) and efficiency. These phenomena are important while recruiting staff. More reactive people are also more fearful and prone to stress on the biological level. The EGG method we employ is totally objective but questionnaires for fear measurement are symptomatic, which helps avoiding possible dishonest replies. The studies are short (10 min EEG and 15 min questionnaire).
Both studies supplement each other well.
Professional experience
- Instytut Analizy Sensorycznej - was responsible for conducting and analysing research results. He completed there a few neuro-marketing projects for clients from the finance and cosmetics sector.
- Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences - the professional practice conducted involved also EEG analysis and statistical analysis in a project studying people suffering from aphasia.
