Preparation of catechists and students preparing for the work of a catechist for considering mutual relation of faith and reason in their operation, which are expressed in adequate revealing of the mysteries of faith with concurrent application of scientific advances.
Project/study aim
The project is directed at the current and future catechists, raising their awareness about the need to consider mutual relation of faith and science in the work of a catechist (particularly exact and natural sciences).
History of execution
Preparation and conducting a survey on the catechists’ awareness in the relation “science-faith” in theory and catechetical practice; devising and disclosing publicly the results of the survey; academic conference at UKSW on the need and possibilities of the relation of religion with natural and exact s sciences; creating a Facebook fanpage; developing religion lesson synopsis on particular educational stages; conducting show religion classes by selected catechists on the basis of the received synopses.
