All Poland washes their hands

Project/study aim

Project work with students in real time – creating a real social campaign in the social media during classes in the winter semester - creating communication strategy, advanced Internet research, creating content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat), interaction with the media and other groups of the environment, project management, creating a music video for the campaign (lipdub).

Research method

Analysis of communication strategy, functionality of social portals, Internet research, SWOT analysis, work with a project method, case study, practical method – manufacturing exercises.

History of execution

The campaign was launched in 2015 during “ strategic Public relations” classes in the course of second-cycle studies in the field “Journalism and social communication” and is conducted in the winter semester. Students work with no budget running their communication in social media in 5 social channels largest in Poland. They create a project while cooperating in a group created on Facebook and smaller subgroups, all of which posses leaders who cooperate with the co called “Heads” – two coordinators.

Effect of implementation

Students can manage a project in the field of public relations, social campaign and create a communication strategy in social media. The content published will remain on the channels of the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.

Impact of the result on: development of science, economy, society

Increasing students’ awareness in the field of social communication, public relations, social media, group cooperation, and also hand hygiene.
